The school includes 19 learning labs, situated in grade-level neighborhoods. There is also a gym, performance area, and small group areas.

In April 2025, an executive order directed the establishment of the Presidential AI Challenge to expand artificial intelligence education for America’s youth. DoWEA is proud to recognize 2026 Presidential AI Challenge State Champion teams in nine DoWEA schools.
